Audjoo Helix always gets mentioned when low CPU is desired:

kHs ONE appears to be very light even on the "full on" patches. Max about 10 or 11% (according to Reaper) on a Core i5.

That is not quite true. I have make some patches what eat 40% on my Q9550. Maxium voices, long release and chord notes = cpu hungry.Nielzie wrote:LennarDigital Sylenth1 has a very low cpu print.

10/11 cpu on an i5 is quite a bit of cpu. wo freeze. that means in order to run just 8 synths of khs one, you only have 20 percent cpu left for fx processing.anzoid wrote:kHs ONE appears to be very light even on the "full on" patches. Max about 10 or 11% (according to Reaper) on a Core i5.

Hmmm strange.. it is widely praised for its low cpu consumption as I can recall because of it's highly optimized codekeel wrote:That is not quite true. agreed. sylenth1 is quite good on cpu. but i made a note about when it can be more cpu intensive.Nielzie wrote:Hmmm strange.. it is widely praised for its low cpu consumption as I can recall because of it's highly optimized codekeel wrote:That is not quite true. Wonder whether my advice worth a penny? Check my music at Soundcloud and decide for yourself.
