Hi!
I'm evaluating Zebra* under Mac OS and Windows and I'm pretty happy with this mighty synth. There are some problems though. One of them: it seems impossible to change values using computer keyboard (for example, selecting a parameter by mouse and enter value manually or use computer keyboard Up and Down arrows to change the value).
Another one slow-down: it seems impossible to close modal windows (like Open or Save OSC Preset or User Preset, Patch Information etc) by hitting Escape on computer keyboard.
Are there plans to enhance Zebra* keyboard navigation in the future builds?
Thank you!

It's always difficult to use keyboards input. Some hosts make ot outright impossible to deal with this.
I encourage people to use scrollwheels as a comfort, but we might eventually dedicate some resources on keyboard input. We will need to make ths optional, but I think it's something we should look into.
On a related note, the Escape key should work for closing "real" windows, but it's true that it does not work for those embedded windows. I hadn't thought about that yet...

Would it be easier to impliment in a 'standalone' version?Urs wrote:It's always difficult to use keyboards input. Some hosts make ot outright impossible to deal with this.

I ask because I use Logitech G-11 KBs with my workstations, as it has 18x3 scriptable (macro) hotkeys, which are HEAVEN in Sound Forge and Live - well, anything that supports hotkeys.
I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Please, consider making some improvements of controlling your synths by computer keyboard: entering values, changing values by up/down arrows while focus is in specific control, switching focus between controls by up/down/left/right arrows, closing modal windows by pressing Esc etc...Urs wrote:we might eventually dedicate some resources on keyboard input. I'm pretty sure this will greatly enhance the workflow while editing sounds.
Thank you!

If you are on PC then you should look at Autohotkey. It's very easy to setup custm keyboard controllers to emulate mouse movements. I made a simple script that allows arrow keys to change parameters of the focused control. You can tweak it to your liking. It will work for almost any VST synth.Valery_Kondakoff wrote: Please, consider making some improvements of controlling your synths by computer keyboard: entering values, changing values by up/down arrows while focus is in specific control, switching focus between controls by up/down/left/right arrows, closing modal windows by pressing Esc etc...
