Hi,

I got happy results :D Watched tutorial videos and happened to get sound, slightly resembling a preset from electric piano plugin called lazysnake.

Not 100% accurate. Didn't quite capture lazysnakes wahwah sound I think, but here is the result after maybe 6 hours of a/b testing and tweaking of the same preset :D.

First is Zebra 2, then lazysnake.

Now I like the zebra preset more than my old lazysnake preset :D.

Wow! Really great! :)
Well done :tu:

Yeah nice work! I love doing these sort of things in Zebra. Copying sounds by A/B'ing them is how I learned to use Zebra mostly.

Almost perfect copy, I did notice however that Lazysnake sounds less "bright". Maybe try the osc effect "brightness" and turn the dial counter-clockwise untill satisfaction? Dunno...

Hi,

Yep this seems like excellent way to learn. Yep, the lazysnake is abit more harsh sounding, but it appears that my osc isn't doing anything in this patch and sound comes from FMO only I think :D. But now I'm happy with this patch and I don't need to use lazysnake anymore :].

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Awesome! :tu: I like your version better.

Sounds good! I really love Zebra for making keyboard and organ sounds. You can get some amazingly realistic emulations out of it.

Hi,

Thanks for comments.

Gotta try to make this sound tomorrow http://soundcloud.com/junk1kale/augur-sound
Synth sound hiding there somewhere behind big big echo :D.
Maybe even improve the patches expressivenes then in Zebra if I can even make that sound.

Hi,

Yep you are right :D. Might as well just delete all organ vst plugins that I have. It is sort of mind blowing .

Except GSi VB3, that one isn't going anywhere. For me. :)

Not to hijack the thread but...VB3 is one of my favorites too. I thought Guido was going to update it months ago?
Also, Howard's DX7 with pad for Zebra sounds better than anything from FM8 for DX type FM electric pianos to my ears! -Perry-

Hehe,

I have only 3 freeware ones. Even though I really like Euthymia electric organ, I feel that I already have all organ sounds already that I need/want in the Zebra presets + the Oldskool sound bank has good organ sounds :D. Electric pianos also seem to be in Zebra.
