Yes - I can confirm that the VNC and Drive Mounting of Receptor Tools on Mac OS 10.7.2 (Lion) works for me. I haven't tried Direct Install just yet.

Hey All,
I've been using this on my machine here at the MUSE office since August. It generally works, but I've encountered some issues related to SMB networking (this is how your mac connects to the receptor drive). I'll spare all the gory details and just say that right now my testing shows Direct Install does not work on the OSX Lion systems.

Hi Nerf,
There may be something about the way your network is setup that blocks the hard drive connection. One thing you can do is check in the "sharing" area of your mac to make sure sharing files with SMB is turned on. Also, we have noticed an issue with older Receptors Rev A, B, and C) and connecting to the drive on Lion. We're not yet sure what causes this problems. For more support help feel free to open a ticket on the help desk.

Did things finally get resolved with Lion? I've been waiting to upgrade to Lion, but I am unclear if all the Receptor issues have been resolved. Thanks
Tom

Tom,
The biggest issue between mac OS X Lion and Receptor tools is the fact that apple dropped support for SMB (samba) file exchange protocol. For Lion apple developed their own replacement for SMB in-house. For Receptor 2 users the differences are negligible: you can still connect to the viewer, and Receptor's hard drive without issue. However, if your a Receptor 1 user you will lose the ability to connect to your hard drive, because Apple's SMB replacement does not recognize the older implementation of SMB used in Receptor 1.
In both cases Direct Install is broken because it looks specifically for a functional SMB connection on your mac to run. It can't find that on Mac OS X Lion, so it doesn't allow DI to launch. It's worth noting that we have developed plenty of work arounds for Receptor 2 users so that they can still get software installed without Direct Install on a Mac OS X Lion machine.
If your interested in learning more about this or Apple's replacement for SAMBA just google "Apple SAMBA replacement".

Thanks Kevin!
Interesting set of conditions.
What are some of the workarounds for Receptor 2 / Mac OS Lion users (or - please post a URL to a tech note if it's been published) ?
Thanks,
Kevin L
