Guys, we would like to know what kind of SoundSets you want next for EVE. So we go on the right direction. ;-)

I just wanna add that I have a plan for an "additive"
library totally oriented to layered presets,

the SoundSets will be made of samples extracted from
from various sources and grouped as low, mid or hi range, relatively to the frequency spectrum,

so that with the A, B and C oscillators of EVE
you can layer different sounds which will not overload
the same frequency range.

WilliamK-

EVE is my favorite VSTi, and the thought of more soundsets is sweet.

Some Rhodes and Wurlies with a little more bark, and how about the Hohner Pianet N to add variety?

Not being an Eve owner, but loving all things vintage, I'd definately give Eve a closer look if it had some more obscure vintage keyboards that you don't see too often in sample sets such as:

Hohner Pianet
Rheem Keybass
Baldwin Electric Harpsichord (pretty sure it was Bladwin)
RMI Electric piano
Hohner D6 (at different pick-up positions/more velocities)
Perhaps some more rare Wurlitzer models (like the 120 or 140 models)
Melotron Flutes seems like an obvious one along with a few more Melotron soundsets

Anything along those lines in a nice affordable package along with what Eve already has would just be ace.
I'm sorry this post wasn't about techno.

omigosh--bull in the china shop time! (rubs hands gleefully)...

I'm of the EP and organ persuasion and love what you've done so far. I realize that EVE is focused on vintage synths; is there any that could deliver some good acoustic piano sounds?

[PS...just a thot I've had: Would it be in your business plan to do a soundset subscription service? You know, pay a yearly rate to download the monthly soundsets at a price somewhat less than what others would pay on a one-at-a-time basis?]

Sorry I'm not hardware experienced enough to make any specific suggestions.

I'm with Ubiquitous and Funkybot.

I would also love some plucked string instruments to layer with vintage keys. But definitely more keys. :)

I would love to see a bank or re-creations, i.e.
CS80 flute and brass sounds as used by Vangelis,
Moog and Arp flutes and brass again etc. as used by Kitaro,
the rythmic s&h sounds of Klaus Schultz,in other words some more softer edged sounds that Eve seems to do so well.
I know I'm showing my age but old guys need love too.

The problem is that I have no idea which patches were used on the original instruments. :( Maybe someone could help? I got the CS80 virtual demo version to test, but I couldn't find anything worth reproducing. So please, point me where to go. ;-)

OK I got the CS80 demo too and couldn't make anything out of it.
I guess I was hoping that everybody else knew something I didn't.
Would have been nice though, maybe Vangelis will join the forum and write in, I bet he will use Eve and daAlfa2k as soon as he hears them.

Someone should tell Vangelis about soft synths so he can start posting here!

hi,

here are some synths i think could be cool to have (or have more of) in EVE:

. electro harmonix bass micro synth
. PPG
. yamaha SY synths
. quasimidi 309 (drums)
. sidstation / C64
. oberheim matrix

Hi William,
I am buying EVE soon, the only thing holding me back is whether to buy the whole bundle instead of just EVE. A couple of days with Da Alpha and combosister, then I will decide. Anyhow, as for EVE soundsets, I would love a few more mellotron sets, as well as epiano's. I know the m-tron already covers the mellotron, but EVE's structure offers greater possibilties for layering and dynamic pads. I too would like to see a some sound sets dedicated to pads.
thanks for the great work.

glassrubs is a really cool idea!

I'd like to see some melodic percussion instruments, some vibraphone, marimba, tuned bells etc.

Thanks :)
