So I will do it like in anonymous alcoholics club:
"Hello, my name is Max and I'm addicted to U-He."
It will be great feature, if you will add in ZEBRA, ace and diva option to oversample during DAW offline rendering. Like it's done in fxpansion synth-quad DCAM. It's very useful option.
U-he can say again, like in ACE case - every mode sound different, so change modes manual. But zebra still have not option for oversample.
I think this will be great for implementation - hidden in interface
3 options:
* Global realtime oversampling (1x-8x) for all instances of synth. (like in voxengo plugins, if you change it, it will affect all plugins at this moment)
* Global oversampling (1x-32x
* Mode for this particular instance of synth (in ace/diva already done) which override first 2 options.
* Ability to save this options as default.
I'm hardcore user of zebra, and like it sound much much better in sample rate 96Khz+ over 44,1. And it's still better, if you than downsample result in 44,1.
Before buying of zebra, my favorite synth was clavia nord modular g2, so I know what 96Khz qulity sound must be, and my ears don't accept in some cases 44.1 sound of zebra. But I like to do everything itb, and u-he really support users, clavia does not.
It's much easier for me to make mix in 44,1Khz (most of my samples/reverb implulses is in 44,1), and if you have mix 100+ tracks with EQ, compressors, FX and other stuff, 96+Khz mix become hard hit on CPU.
OK, I probably can solo all synths at the end, change to 96Khz mode, render, then convert to 44.1Khz with izotope radius algorithm. It's best quality way to do this. But there is another problem. Some of my patches in zebra change sound very radical, when I change sample rate. Like total different sounds. XMF/analog mode filter cutoff change for example. It become really different sound, and I need to change all automation again... So boring...
So options I mention above can be really useful.
Please do it in 2.6 zebra at least!!!
Or in 3.0, just faster! I will pay for upgrade xx$ without doubt only for this option.
Thanks.
