I'll reference the link below because it seems that someone else has had what sounds like exactly the same issue but it wasn't really resolved (here at least):

So basically,
In the chord section, when I bypass "sequencer" and set it to "midi" and then hold down a chord, I get strange metallic sounds conflicting with the sounds that play when you just set it to "sequencer" mode. Any idea what is going on here?
According to the manual on pg 16, paragraph 2, one should be able to manually input the chords live and just let the gate triggering and all the rest do its work, or am I just not understanding something?
Your attention to this is greatly appreciated. Great product though
