I can't see any explanation of the envelope follower frequency control in Filterscape's manual. Can someone be so kind as to enlighten me as regards its function, please? Thanks.

I believe each of the envelope followers has a filter before the envelope detector, and the 'Freq' control sets the cutoff for that filter. This can be used if you want the envelope follower to only respond to a certain range of frequencies.
For example, if you have a drum loop consisting of kick drum (low end), snare (mid range) and hi-hats (high end) but you only want the envelope follower to respond to the kick, you can set 'Filter' in the envelope follower section to Low Pass and turn the 'Freq' parameter down to a low value. This is similar to side-chain filters on many compressors.
