I appreciate the new feature "automation parts" very much, especially the vector approach.
One question remains: How can I use this (vectorized!) curves for pitch bending VST and MuX? There is no pitch bend parameter in my automation track.
Any idea?
@Jo: Is there any chance to get vector points in the sequence's event editor in a future version?
Automation parts for pitch bend?

For Muxes: You could add a pitch meta-parameter and automate that one.Reincke wrote:I appreciate the new feature "automation parts" very much, especially the vector approach.

Not likely. If you want vector envelopes, use automation parts, that's what they're made for.@Jo: Is there any chance to get vector points in the sequence's event editor in a future version?
FYI: The wishlist includes that these automation parts should also be able to send MIDI CC/Aftertouch/Pitchbend, or at least automate a converter module that will send MIDI CC/Aftertouch/Pitchbend.

Thank you for the hint. I'll find out this.mutools wrote:For Muxes: You could add a pitch meta-parameter and automate that one.Reincke wrote:One question remains: How can I use this (vectorized!) curves for pitch bending VST and MuX? There is no pitch bend parameter in my automation track.
Any chance for VSTs without hiding them in a MuX?
Sounds promising. Although: A serious advantage of the event editor is: you directly see which note you (pitch) bend 'cause of the joint sequence/event editor. Can we have something comparable with automation tracks?mutools wrote:Not likely. Conceptually there's a difference between "automation" and MIDI events - they're simply not the same thing: it's not just a different representation. Automation to create MIDI events needs several configuration parameters to get it to happen. MIDI events have these.
I would, however, like to see this "built in" to automation tracks: the ability to select MIDI event details, set the value range and target the events. But then that's almost a new type of automation from "simply" connecting an automation track to a parameter.
