Wallender instruments in Receptor

Hey Guys,
The receptor is working great now as stated in my previous response on my problem thread. My question now is what it would take to get the wallender instruments to work on the receptor? I tried installing the windows installer this morning and the receptor see the file but when updating the plugins it has trouble digesting the .dll file and loops through the search for a while and eventually quits. I'm going to talk to Mr. Wallender about this too and see if there is omething that can make this happen. The WIVI collections are decent sounding and expressive wind instruments that rely more on modeling than samples so the processor load is greatly reduced. Like kontakt I don't think they are program change friendly which to me is why the receptor seems to be the solution to get these to work. At least it's worth a shot. Thanks for listening.

Hi Guys,
I'm adding this email communication I had with Arne Wallander regarding the installation of WIVI (demo) on the Receptor to see if it would work. He goes into some things I'm not sure I know how to access with the receptor. I have been a Mac person so some of his explanation is unfamiliar territory for me. Perhaps this will give some insight in what could make Wivi and it's libraries work on the receptor.

Hi Dan!

We have not heard any positive reports of our software working on
Receptor unfortunately. I am not sure how the hardware deals with
installation of products, however, so it could be that the software is
simply not installed correctly.

On windows the .dll is part of what is installed (both 32-bit and
64-bit dll:s are normally installed on 64-bit machines) but there is
also an installation folder with a resource folder which must be
located by the plug-in. The location is found via the Windows
registry, the keys are installed to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WIVI,
and you can read these keys through regedit in Windows.

Also, it may be that the Receptor cannot deal with the Direct3D or
OpenGL drivers that are used by default to render the graphics, but
must use the Software Renderer. This setting is normally controlled
via the WIVI settings app found on the Start Menu, and the setting is
also stored as a registry key under the location above.

Best regards,
Arne,

performance setup replacing using a computer. I use the Akai EWI4000S as a
controller to run Sample Modeling's instruments. I would like to be able to
install at least WIVI Band or the other collections eventually to expand my
palette of instruments. The Receptor recognizes the windows installer but has a
problem dealing with the .dll file in the plugin update phase and bypasses WIVI.
I have left a thread on KVR Audio's forum about the same subject. Could it be
possible in the future to work out the support for the Receptor platform? It
would enable me to access many different setups with Program change commands
which would be really great if possible. Thanks for your time and attention.
