Hey All -- newbie here. Tried to search the forum, could not find a definitive answer. Also have been through the documentation, which is either incorrect or not working?
I.E.I go to "Import Sample Loop". This ALWAYS placed the file in multisampla with it unsliced -- and inserts a sequence with one midi note. What I'd expect is for it to autoslice it in multisampla then give me a note for each slice. It's almost like it tried to slice then just gets "one" slice and creates one midi note.
The only way I can get slicing to work is to choose "Import Sample File" which just imports into MuSampla, then within MuSampla, I can right click the audio , then choose click to auto add the locators, then create slice sequence and I'm finally good.
This seems rather cumbersome, what am I missing? It would be cool just to be able to right click any audio file already in the composer and choose slice.
Thanks!
Easiest way to bring in sliced loops in Mulab 4?

this sounds like your sample contains loop markers. Mulab takes existing markers into account.
How to rectify this:
- right click on the midi part and select "edit sample", which opens the sample in the audio editor
- in the audio editor, right click and select "auto create locators", which will add new markers.
- next right click and select "update sliced sample part". Your midi part should now have as many notes as the sample has slices.

Thanks Andreas. That work around works well. So far I'm seeing this in most loops I try to use -- and it's no show stopper, but it'd be cool if it did a better job of autodetecting loops. It's be great to have a really fast drag/drop workflow and have this happening quicker.
I'm finding mulab, once I "got" the modular stuff, to be amazing.
