I am proud to announce the release of "Harvest Produce Report":

150 Patches, modeled after memories that may or may not have taken place. An outlet to the sounds that are haunting the back of my mind. Forgotten dreams and nightmares, recalled by turning knobs on this wonderful Zebra synthesizer.

Several months ago, I was updating the "Switched On" patch library. Some patches got reworked, reflecting newly acquired sound design tricks. Whilst other patches got binned, due to being not compatible to the overal tone of sound of the patch library. After a while, a theme began seeping through, and so little was left of the old patchbank that i decided to rename my work to "Harvest Produce Report".

I am constantly learning, and always getting closer to the sounds that i wish to achieve with Zebra, and my music in general. "Harvest Produce Report" is just that. A report of what i've learned thus far, sharing the fruits of what i harvested in this journey to achieve "my sound".

The first song takes on a light and upbeat tone, giving you a good feel for the sounds in general. 18 instances of Zebra were used to create this song. Outside of Zebra, only Bootsy's "DensityMKII" was used on the master bus, for limiting and volume purposes.

Fun fact: With up to 15 instances at once running at one point, the CPU never went over 25% on my 3-year old AMD Phenom quad core. Fancy bit of programming Urs!

Things take a turn for the darker, more nightmare-ish sound in this sound effects demo reel. Notice the Star Trek and Eraserhead reference patches at the end.

I like the audio demos and the release image as well..

Got Diva 2 days ago so that kinda left me flat busted.. but can help with a few more steps towards yours... I'm telling ya', after you get her, it feels great!

I was thinking about this a bit this morning. I have a few soft synths outside of U-he stuff but every time I open up Diva or ACE or Zebra, I swear it's my favorite synth.

At least 1 Zebra has ended up in like 3/4+ of everything I've done in the past couple of years. Short of physical modelling stuff, or a sampled piano, what can't Zebra do. And actually McNoone has done some great plucks, and someone else did some really cool 'low fi' horns as well. So maybe physical modelling isn't completely out of Zebra 4.0's reach.

And thanks much for the patches, it's always a treat when someone puts out some new Zebra stuff.

You are all true gentlemen and scholars! I was pleasantly suprised to see 5 donations within the first hours of posting, placing me halfway towards my Diva puchase!

About the artwork, on the bottom from left to right you see:
