Hi,
I've been scaling back to an all in-the-box setup and selling some things off, which finally gives me the opportunity to demo DIVA. I did not want to do it earlier when there would be no funds if I decided to get it.
Anyway, there are a ton of presets and I am hoping for a more focused approach rather than trying to play every preset*. Can you name some presets which specifically showcase the superiority of sound and the zero-delay feedback filters? Thanks.
* A part of the reason I'm asking for some specific patches to try is that I'm finding the demo frustrating with regards to the crackles. I haven't measured how frequently they occur, but it seems to be far too often for my tastes and makes it difficult to get any quality noodling or tweaking in. The crackles somehow just really grate and kill my ears. Basically I have resorted to playing a brief passage, quickly turning the volume way down and waiting for the crackles to go away, then returning the volume for another short burst of playing. It's not a pleasant experience I must say. If it had been a demo for another company I would have deleted it by now, but I am a fan of u-he and the way they do business so I'm willing to put up with it. I just wish there was a better way.

I have to admit, when I was demoing Diva, I felt very ambivalent about the crackles. On the one hand, they were rather quiet and didn't really interfere that much with the sound, which I thought was pretty generous, but on the other hand, they sort of blended in with the performance glitches and often I couldn't tell if a crackle was because I was pushing Diva too hard, a bug, or what.
I think gentle white noise would be a nicer demo limitation than the crackles, because of this confusion.
