in march, i was thinking of abandoning sylenth1 (see my thread about this...or don't).

i realize there will probably NEVER be a 64bit AU, or perhaps ANY update (even the last beta won't work on Lion/Logic).

but...
have amassed a huge library for S1, and find, even after adding some new plugins to my arsenal...that S1 remains my 'go-to' synth. it's imperfect, but it's still amazing. buzzy, bright, big, round. in varying degrees...

am using some other synths, trying to be less dependent on S1. but it's still THE KING.

lennar! PLEASE update it! if Logic X comes, and has no bridge... will have to then decide what to do.
either way, will continue to put sylenth1 to work.

And I agree, Sylenth is still a synth that holds its spot firmly. A true legend of a synth. Oh how I wish that Lennard was working his magic secretly on a successor..

i've added some new plugins, and have demo'd many. some great stuff out there, but guess i'm comfortable with S1.
my method is to jump thru presets, until a sound inspires me to write.

i find, with some of my other plugins, this takes a while, with sylenth1, am up and writing pretty quickly.

AFAIK there will be an update. Though it was 5 months ago that Lennard said this, in a rather stern post. Thats the only time that he ever commented on this subject, so it probably means nothing.
I did abandon S1 soon after, cause I dont want to support this dev anymore, for reasons of my own that there is no need to mention publicly.
I think, sooner or later, an upgrade will come. Considering how long its been since the last update, I think its most likely gonna be a paid upgrade to version 3. I wouldnt be surprised if it comes sooner rather than later, since its already been long enough.

I came here expecting to see passionate, irrational howling and furious insults at things which, on another day, you could overcome quite easily.

However all I see is reasonable points being (fairly) well made about Sylenth.

and i DO like fish but don't eat it (am a vegetarian...which should explain a lot).

i know, sylenth1 will never be updated. so will live with the 32bit bridge...
