I've been using a slightly different skin with black lower panes. The center pane looked like this:

Notice anything missing?

Yes, it definitely makes a difference after going back to the default skin and clicking that light!

I noticed some lowered cpu usage without even using multi-threading.

It is worth noting that turning on multithreading actually makes the CPU usage go up. It "should" only be on if one instance overloads a single core (lots of voices,long release,high quality). If it "fits" in one core it's better to leave multithreading off.

Agreed. Better to fit it in one core in a daw usually, but I'm just glad to see I'm not going crazy.
