Just been playing with the demo, it is VERY unconventional, and a lot more powerful than I was expecting... it's certainly going to require a lot of work to get the best from it!

I guess I should try the demo first even though I am 99.999999999999999999991283% sure I'm gonna buy it. Been waiting for months!

Do you mean it doesn't sound as good as Diva?reusenoise wrote:Hope these don't becoming another boring vsti vs. vsti thread

Well, I don't think it'll go there as it never once on the home page mentions the word "vintage" which is a good move considering how totally unvintage it's feature set is. This one seems to be aimed firmly in the exact opposite direction.george wrote:Do you mean it doesn't sound as good as Diva?reusenoise wrote:Hope these don't becoming another boring vsti vs. vsti thread
That said, the demo tracks sound unbelievably harsh to me. I hope the synth itself doesn't sound like that because IMO the demo tracks sound horrible.

The feature set looks interesting, but I'm not sure if it's going to sell as expected considering it's a monophonic synth.
Hope to see more videos describing the full potential.

To be honest I think this would *really* benefit from having some well explained video walkthroughs, like the ones Dan Worrall did for Alchemy. I don't like most of the presets in Cyclop, and I simply haven't managed to get it to do anything I like when working on it from scratch, even following the manual it's a volatile unpredictable beast... for a monophonic synth it's so deep it's insane. I really want to love it, but at the moment it's too much for me to dedicate the time to getting the best out of it.

Okay, going at it for 30 minutes... this thing is totally over the top. The GUI makes you feel like a mad scientist. There's tons of potential in there... The sound is wicked and gets out of hand pretty quickly. The knobs and sliders are just begging to be tweaked, which can make it sound like a cat in a blender if you're not careful.
I'm a little overwhelmed.. but excited. Definitely excited.
