Hi, I just bought a Alesis MultiMix 4 USB to be able to record my accoustic piano.
How do I make Mulab aware of the input via USB.
In Audacity it was easy: I could select USB Audio Codec as recording and as play back.
In Mulab I did not get further than Audio settings which said Asio4All.
But that is a driver and not an input instrument.
Any idea where I must be to activate this USB audio codec?

Does it come with an ASIO driver? If yes you should see the ASIO driver in MuLab's Audio Setup.

No, it is triggerd by the Mixer when it is connected by USB with my laptop.
Then Audacity saw it as a source - or instrument - for recording and playback.
When working with my keybaord in Mulab ( with no mixer involved) the USB connection is automatically recognized as the source of midi input and the line in plug as the source of audio signals.
I do not know if the USB connection with my laptop and mixers will be recognized by Mulab as audio signal or if I have ro activate this somewhere in Mulab.

visit this page and click 'docs and downloads' and read the bottom item: 'asio4all'

mulab requires an asio driver.
