Hi Vojtech,
Something I've always wanted to ask: what does the LFO (the shape at the bottom half of the window) actually modulate in M(MultiBand)FreqShifter/what is it "doing"? I can hear that it changes the sound, but I'm not quite sure what it does.
Regards,
Andre
What does the LFO in MFreqShifter do

Hi Andre, well, the essentially frequency shifting is kind of an improved ring-modulation - multiplication with sine wave. Here it is a more complex, but the basic idea is the same. Correctly it has to be done with sine, but why not to allow different shapes, right?

Thanks for the info! So it's mostly for experimenting, that's always nice.MeldaProduction wrote:Hi Andre, well, the essentially frequency shifting is kind of an improved ring-modulation - multiplication with sine wave. BTW, I haven't said thanks for implementing the different fade modes in MXXX's ratio module yet, so here it is: thanks a lot!
