For a live-project I currently have to bounce dozens of stems, the tuning is 442 as a string orchestra is involved. Now I have to tune up all my involved Zebra patches, in the Global/FX section there is a finetuning knob which I could set to +7 cent to reach 442, but this knob does not do anything in none of the patches I tried so far. The tuning knob in the Oscillator doesn't have a fine calibration so that's not an option. Now I'm using a pitch-shifter on all Zebra patches which works but is not ideal.
What am I missing, or it it a Bug indeed?
Thank's
Simon

It does. Hold down SHIFT when moving the tune or detune knob.Sampleconstruct wrote:The tuning knob in the Oscillator doesn't have a fine calibration so that's not an option.
As for the global knob, I've never used it -- that may very well be a bug.

I tried the shift option but that only gives me 50 cent a step, not a resolution I could work with.bmrzycki wrote:It does. Hold down SHIFT when moving the tune or detune knob.Sampleconstruct wrote:The tuning knob in the Oscillator doesn't have a fine calibration so that's not an option.

EDIT: I was wrong, the shift thingy does work so I have a workaround, thank you! Of course with many Osc involved that workaround sucks a bit

Don't use the detune knob though! Always use the tune knob since the detune knob won't work for oscs in dual, quad and eleven mode (it will pitch some of the oscs down and the others up).
I just checked the global fine tune knob by the way. It really doesn't work
It's crazy that no one noticed that until now!
Cheers

No, the detune knob is dangerousBronto Scorpio wrote:GreatSampleconstruct wrote:I tried the shift option but that only gives me 50 cent a step, not a resolution I could work with.bmrzycki wrote:It does. The detune knob only work on freshly started notes, i.e. after setting a tune value. You can't tune "live", which we'll eventually fix.
I can't imagine it to be broken. Then octave etc. would be broken too.

Hi Urs - well try it, the global fine tune knob is only running in placebo mode here, Dennis has confirmed it as well.Urs wrote:The detune knob only work on freshly started notes, i.e. after setting a tune value. You can't tune "live", which we'll eventually fix.

I just tried it again. It DOES work! You just have to trigger a new note firstSampleconstruct wrote:Hi Urs - well try it, the global fine tune knob is only running in placebo mode here, Dennis has confirmed it as well.Urs wrote:The detune knob only work on freshly started notes, i.e. after setting a tune value. Thanks for the info Urs!

Is that a complicated thing to fix? Not being able to tune in realtime can be sorta bummer...

Not complicated, just also not anything that was requested much in the past six years...EvilDragon wrote:Is that a complicated thing to fix? Not being able to tune in realtime can be sorta bummer...
