Can MdynamicEQ include Voxengo GlissEQ features?

MdynamicEQ and MAutoDynamicEq are my goto EQ fx. However I'm tempted to buy Voxengo's GlissEQ purely just for the spectrum comparison feature.
If you are not familiar with what I mean, here is a quote from Aleksey:

"GlissEQ features real-time spectrum analyzer. Moreover, the spectrum of a track can be exported to any other instance of GlissEQ thus making real-time inter-track spectrum comparisons possible. This can help you free frequency ranges in one track to allow the instrument in another track occupying same frequencies breathe."
From what I can tell, this is simply a matter of putting a copy of the plugin on each track you want to compare, then each instance will display the spectrum of every track, each in a different colour. This gives an 'at a glance' view of problem/ clashing frequencies, allowing you to identify and fix issues quickly.

Is it possible for a similar feature to be included in a future EQ update?

Well, this isn't planned really, maybe, we'll see. I more like plan a plugin to solve these issues automatically ;)

I understand what you mean about problem solving Vojtech, but I see it as an ADDITION to automatically fixing the issues, not something to replace it. Sometimes it's really useful to get a visualisation of a number of tracks combined, to see the effect an fx vst makes to the mix for instance, or to help understand WHY the bottom end sounds muddy.
GlissEQ is a quality EQ but it's not the best, and I'm sure that alot of it's sales are for this really useful feature alone. I'd just like to see your EQ's which I believe are a better quality, include this as another string to it's already impressive bow. :tu:

Sounds like a great addition. During mixing i always switch channels quickly, positioning mdynamiceq in the same spot on all channels, so i can compare the analyzer signals. ;)

It would be great if we could have like 4 virtual groups to 'send' the analyzer output to, and monitor these groups in the main analyzer window.

How would you make that automatic Vojtech? I prefer to work everything manually when it comes to eq-ing.

Well, I'll think about it, but the analyzer is already extremely complex, I'm not sure if this would be possible...

This feature of GlissEQ works by simply overlaying the display of each track onto each other in a different colour, as follows:

I don't know how difficult that would be to integrate into your analyzer, but you're not changing much functionality, just changing the way it displays?

Note really, besides the fact that our analyzer is highly configurable, it can also display several graphs at once, so then you don't even know which one it is... And that's just the beginning...

I think that is why the colours are used, to distinguish easily between the tracks.
I understand your point though, it's obviously much more complex to integrate into the existing analyser.
What about creating a simpler "MMultiband Analyser" (or MMultitrack Analyser to be more precise) that only provided this functionality and little else? It would only be a one trick pony for sure but boy what a useful little trick!!!

Anyway, I'll leave you to ponder the detail and hopefully add it to your never ending 'to do' list :hihi:

Thanks for listening and for the feedback

Edit: Just seen that Blue Cat Audio have released an update for their take on this type of plugin too, see here:

You see? There are already plugins like that and I think there are more interesting things to be done here.

:? there is no room for excuses and then you can also bundle it for free with your freebundle, which by the way is seriously impressive, you could do whole mixes with those alone so have a confused emoticon on the house.

On the contrary, BCA sells for 99 EUR and GlissEQ for $99. Both have been updated also (BCA v2, GEQ v3.5) so there is obviously a large market out there for such plugins. A Melda version would easily command a premium price.

It's a shame Vojtech that you won't consider doing a Melda version as I just know it would be of a much higher quality, better thought out, and more flexible than the competition. It would also mean that your customers would be able to access another essential tool without needing to look elsewhere.
Well, I respect your opinion and your time taken to listen to my suggestions. Thanks again.

It was a joke, I like the free bundle very much and have Gliss EQ too, but find use for both of them as GlissEQ munches CPU like there is no tomorrow, I love the meldabundle for when it comes to stuff like the one synth challenge where you are only allowed to use free plug ins yet I have to still try one yet(OSC)

I think Vojtech is completely right...there is a lack of unique /Space boy sort of/ software which works automatically...when I got SB I have immediately stopped using GlissEq for frequency analysis :)

Vojtech is always right because it's his decision to create what he thinks is best. I don't really understand your point about Space Boy though for a number of reasons.

Firstly, you can do all that SB can do and more with MAutoEQ, so why would Vojtech spend time creating something he already has in his arsenal?

Secondly, it doesn't stack up even from a purely business point of view. SB or the website doesn't look like it has been updated in a long time, (the min requirements state Win 98, it also states that you can export 'Wormhole' peaks for import to Voxengo GlissEQ, a feature that I don't think has been possible since at least 2010). So even at the low price of $30, it seems Elevayta, are finding it difficult to motivate themselves to invest in the plugin, which seems to suggest that interest is not that high. Remember also, that automation is fine, until it doesn't work how you need it to.

Compare that to the analysis plugins, as I posted before, BCA sells for 99 EUR and GlissEQ for $99. Both have been recently updated also (BCA v2, GEQ v3.5) so there is obviously a large market out there for such plugins.

This is all academic as Vojtech has already stated that he is very unlikely to develop such a tool and that is his choice.
I guess just like many others, I'll be giving my 100 euro to Voxengo, or Bluecat, instead of him which is a real shame

first-you CANNOT do the same SB trick with MAutoEq-simply becouse it dont work in realtime...

second- AFAIK there IS NOT any other plugin capable of realtime autoeq

third-you are right that SB needs further improvements and is hard to tell if one can expect them from the developer itself :(
