crash at start ableton live 8.3.3/Logic/Cubase 6.5 (Mac OSX Lion)- last version off synthmaster

hi,

all in the title, I have buy to synthmaster yesterday evening and after the install by the pkg program. I have throw ableton live , just after the start and the question on the init of synthmaster because first opening , live crash.

before another run OK and it crash still when I try of used the pluggin VST or AU (component), same probleme of crash in the start with Cubase 6.5 64 bit and Logic 64 bit.

I am on MAC OSX lion not still on mountain Lion.

Hi,

Try this:

1. Delete /Library/Application Support/KV331 Audio/SynthMaster
2. Reinstall
3. Change permissions on the above folder to read/write (mode 777 I guess)

If still doesnt work please let me know.

the start is ok now (i made w/r for anyone on the folder and is soon) , but i have another crash in ableton live when i use the browser.

hi

i forget , evry time i start the pluggin evry time is the new installation for it (VST) and the component pluggin can't use because live can't open it.

oups i forget to chnage permission on admin , now the VST work but not the audio unit (can't open error) i the message of initialisation is leave.

Did you delete the folder and reinstall and then set permissions?

Please do in that order!

I have never sen anything like this.

I changed the folder and all it's sub contents to read/write access for all.

I have never seen a plugin take down a host so quickly.

INSTANT, as soon as i try instantiate.,

I have to uninstall this for now and juts wait for a fix, i am not going to bother with this in such a situation, sorry.

I have about 20 crash logs already in the last 10 minutes just trying to start synthmaster

Why are you so negative?

I already told the fix! It IS a permission issue on OSX.

My installer sets the permissions on those folders to 777 (r/w) but somehow that doesnt work on all systems?

Ask Martin (M.L.M) for instance, he is on OSX 10.7, and has no issues so far.

Ok i can not get the au to work at all:( it just doesn't show up in any host.

Bulent, i am sincerely sorry if you thought i was negative, you know i am thankful and how much i LOVE the SOUND of synthmaster, but surely you can see something like that happening cause a user to panic?

Please understand my initial reaction? all those crashes? fair enough?

and we need to get tot he bottom of the au not working (i am fine with the vst, more for your customers sakes)

OK then could you please do this:

Copy the .component files (that exist under the folder where you extracted the update) manually to

/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components

and the .vst files manually to

/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST

Hi folks,

I am working on this very issue right now, testing the demo/standard installers on my Snow Leopard machine.

The demo installer is OK, but there seems to be a problem with the standard installer. I am hoping to fix it until tomorrow.

Apparently the standard installer is not setting folder permissions correctly.

Hi guys,

Really sorry for this annoying issue, but it IS fixed now!

Please grab the latest mac osx installer (full setup, not update) at :

http://www.synthmaster.com/downloadupdates.aspx

Do as follows:

1. Delete SynthMaster2.component, SynthMaster2FX.component located at /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components

2. Delete SynthMaster2.vst, SynthMaster2FX.vst located at /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST

3. Delete /Library/Application Support/KV331 Audio/SynthMaster

4. Empty trash

5. Installer the full setup you downloaded from our site.

6. Run your DAW

Now the AU validation works, and the plugin works as fine!
