I know I've brought this up somewhat indirectly before but I want to know for sure. Is there any plan of bringing the audio quality of Diva to a synth that has as many possibilites as a zebra? I know about Zebra HZ but HZ doesn't have the Diva VCO's. I want to reiterate that Diva is the best sounding synth I have ever heard, but I badly badly want it to be as open ended as a zebra. I would pay 500+ dollars for a synth like that. Is there anything like that coming down the pipeline?

ok i can understand that. Are you able to say if it is going to be in a product that is in production now (just an updated version) or if it will be a brand new synth product?

Both. We would be stupid to not add the technology behind Diva's filters to Zebra for instance, and we would be stupid to neglect it for our long term projects (one of which Diva actually was).ddeez wrote:ok i can understand that. Just don't buy any existing product because of a promise - which hereby I haven't made

Absolutley, I wouldn't buy a product on a promise. It seems to me like the VCO's in Diva are as important to the sound as the VCF's (along with the oversampling options) for what i love about it so much. Are you allowed to say how soon those 2 things will be coming to a synth that is as option rich as a zebra?
Also as a cool note, I used Diva on a track i produced that is now picking up spins across America on Urban radio. It's actually the only synth on the song.

And when you get up, link us up with that song!
I'm not sure this board would approve of the song. It's a very edgy explicit rap song. I don't think it would be looked upon fondly. lol

Meanwile, the better you know Diva and Zebra, the quicker you'll be cruising with that future Symplifier. (or was it Cynthia-sizer?)

The names are not mine. They stem from a seventies prog band named Gong who gave themselves and their instruments Gong-names. Like Bloomdido Bas de Grasse, Bambaloni-Yoni... and a synth was either a symplifier or a cynthia sizer.
I used it tongue-in-cheek, hoping someone would perhaps recognise the language of Gong...
So don't panic.
