Hello Vojtech,

when using pitchbend to control any parameter, it's not quite reaching the set max value when my pitchwheel is at its maximum. The min value is reached as normal. For example, when controling a multiparamter, it only reaches 99.6% when the max value is set to 100%, and 49.8% when set to 50%. I've tested this with two different keyboards, so it's not a hardware issue.

Can you, or anyone else, reproduce this?

Cheers

True! A little rounding error, will be fixed.

Hello Vojtech,

thanks for the new update which fixes the pitchbend problem that I described above, but now I've noticed that when using pitchbend to control the 'pitch' parameter in the Harmonizer, it's showing the right amount as specified in the MIDI settings but it doesn't sound right. The pitch is off. For instance, try setting the min and max values of the pitchbend to +24 and -24 semitones. Set the Harmonizers pitch parameter to +24 and play a note. Now set it back to 0 semitones and play a note with your pitchwheel at maximum. This should sound the same as the first note played, but it's about 2 semitones higher. I've also tried it with various different ranges, but it's always about 2 semitones higher with pitchwheel at max.

Are you getting the same behaviour?

Ok, which host and interface did you use? I was now checking it and it seems to me that VST2 works without problems, but VST3 Cubase is "not limited". What it does is somewhat what you explained - by moving the pitchbend down it seems it gets out of range, less than -1, and the plugin just takes it that way, so it actually shifts it more, that should be fixed anyway, just in case.

I'm on Win XP 32bit, using VST2, and I've tested it in Reaper 4.261 and FL Studio 10.09...same result in both. It does the same thing whether using my pitchwheel or sending pitch CC messages.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!! Got it!!! The harmonizer itself also reacts on pitchbend!!! Just disable your MIDI controller and the pitchbend will still work, just 2 semitones!!
But now what with this... Hmmm... It seems a little useless to add special on/off for pitch bend just because of this extreme case. However there's one free spot under the sound settings, so how about pitch-bend range? You could then set pitch-bend range to 0 to disable it.

So it does, the sneaky little bugger :)
Pitch-bend range in the sound settings, sounds like a good plan to me. I wouldn't have to set it up in the MIDI controllers at all then. 8)

Cheers!!!
