Hello guys,

Sorry for my bad english, I'm french, but I really need your help ! I've a problem with using Effectrix on different computers.

I work in different studios, so, on different computers (the all Mac) with CUBASE. The problem is that every time I create a template in a session, if I re-open it on the same computer, all is OK and my template is called back. But if I open the session in a different studio, but with the same Effectrix version installed, I have this message : "This is not a valid Effectrix file" everytime Cubase is loading a track with an Effectrix on it and every Effectrix is empty, or to a random preset !?!?

My question is : Is Effectrix stocking templates of every session somewhere ? In a .plist file or another file on every computer ? My theory is : there is a list somewhere, containing every templates and when you load Effectrix it calls templates from this list, and the problem comes in another computer because he can't find the entry in that list because it's a different one...

The fact is that I have to re-open a session that comes from a computer that I sold last week, I have a copy of the HDD so I just have to find that file/directory ???

I don't know if it's clear but I really need your help !!!

Thank you.[/b]

There is no such file reference on the harddrive. The template should work.
Can you send the template to info[at]sugar-bytes.de so that we can have a look at it.

The most obvious reason would be that you don't have the same version on the systems. So please double check that you have the latest version everywhere.

Another thing you could try is to save an Effectrix preset on one machine and load it on another if this works, it would give a hint that maybe this is a Cubase problem.

Best,
Robert
