Does anyone know a workaround to the fact that uniwire doesn't work in a windows 7 64bit environment? Yeah, I know that I can use the midi connection to reach the same result but it is so frustrating to do it that way when you know that you could run receptor vip as a plugin if only uniwire would be compatible with a 64 bit OS

No. I have been looking for the same for some time. Tried using jbridge, but could not get that to work (yet). Not sure why Muse have not addressed this, as most software is now available in a format that works on 64 bit Win 7 - even if the software is still 32 bit, like Pro Tools. I totally agree about the frustration of this, and am starting to think that the only way to deal with it is to write the software myself, which is likely to be a lot of work.

Ok, interesting information!! Actually I tried it on Reaper and it worked which suggests that it indeed have something to do with the host or the uniwire dll-files that according to muse research acts as pro tools compatibel files. It seems they are not compatibel with pro tools 9 and 10 though. Well, I guess I could rewire through Reaper until there is a pro tools 10 compatible version of uniwire. Maybe there will be an AAX version of uniwire in the near future!?

Very interesting - thanks for this information. Will set up Reaper and see whether I can get it working.morphbay wrote:Hi
I'm using Uniwire in Win 7 64bits with Cubase 6.5 (64) and it works.
It should work even without jbridge but it may depend on the host.
