I've been taking a look at the MuLab demo, and everything is fairly straight-forward.
However, I can't figure out how to send keyboard input to multiple instrument racks at the same time.
If anybody know how to set this up, please let me know.

If you want to layer sounds, you can use a MUX for that and put all the synths and effects you want to combine into that MUX. Start from the Factory -> Effects -> Devices -> Basic Effect preset and insert from there.
