Audacity as a host

Has anybody has experience using Audacity as a host for the Blue Cat products? Apparently it doesn't work in real time so you can't follow the spectrum or waterfall display while the track is running. You have to save the track and then look at its spectrum. I tried it and found that if I loaded Fre1tAnalyst Pro (which I'm using with Cubase), then when you call up FreqAnalyst it takes the focus, and you cannot run Audacity, which is behind it. Is there any way to use these together?
