Hi,
I've Tyrell as an AU in one of my Live projects. Everything is working correctly, except the gui wont open. New Tyrell AUs seem to work fine. I cant simply "replace" it, as the patch is saved with the project and not in Tyrell. Just 2 tyrell AUs in the project with separate patches that cant be opened.
Kinda frustrating at the mo. Is there any work around or anything I could do to fix this?
Ive replaced the Aus/VST with the latest version, but hasnt helped.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Tyrell gui wont open in old project in Live - any workarounds?

You must have AUs *and* VSTs of Tyrell in this project. In case of which there might be a Cocoa naming conflict, and the AU doesn't open anymore.
We hope to have the time to develop a workaround some time next year.
The best way to deal with this is to use either AUs or VSTs, but never mix.

Thanks Urs! Okay, that would make sense. Ill have to keep that in mind. Is that true for all plugin manufacturers with AUs? It has cropped up once before with another plugin. Would it return to normal if I removed the vsts?Urs wrote:You must have AUs *and* VSTs of Tyrell in this project. I can't speak for others, but it's a major downer for us. Apple provides ways around this, but our existing codebase isn't easily ported to these.
