It would be really cool if while you are editing in the piano roll if you could click an existing note and get that note to play - kind of to give you a point of reference.
Also, if possible, as you drag a note, it would play every note that passes by. It helps to quickly formulate a tune, its a bit more intuitive.
Hopefully its not too much of a pain to implement, it would make a world of difference!

I could see how some may not want this on all the time - so maybe the ability to toggle this on or off.

have you tried pressing the alt-key while clicking on an existing note? Maybe that's what you're looking for. You can also click at ANY cell in the piano roll while pressing the alt-key, and you will hear that note.
