Check out MSpectralDynamics
. It can do a pretty cool denoising

I generally use Adobe Audition for noise reduction (which I prefer to Wave's Z and X noise)... I've been comparing results with Audition and with MSpectralDynamics, they're pretty much on par, I'd say I prefer Spectral Dynamics in most cases. Spectral Dynamics also has a LOT more flexibility and parameter choices than other noise reduction systems too. I really recommend spending some time with it to understand how to get the best out of it. Is there any reason you haven't been happy with it so far?
As with all signature based systems, you really need a decent noise profile though. I've attempted making some adaptive noise reduction presets in spectral dynamics that dont require a noise signature but have only created 'okay' results. This is where Wave's Z-noise is better IMO... but perhaps I just need to spend more time with MSpDyn.

That's a plugin I don't have. I have the mixing bundle, all the basics and a few more. Just haven't jumped on that one yet. I have DSM V2 that I use in the areas that I would use MSpDyn.
Thanks for the input.

You could also try MautodynamicEq with dynamic curves. Does a pretty amazing jobs sometimes.
Sounds like the approach Cedar take to my ears.

How have you set up MAutoDynamicEQ to do an amazing job at noise reduction?Oliver.Lucas wrote:You could also try MautodynamicEq with dynamic curves. Does a pretty amazing jobs sometimes.
