No sound MOscillator + MNoiseGenerator VST3

Both MOscillator and MNoiseGenerator don't produce sound with the VST3-versions (7.06)
OS = Win7 x64, DAW = Cubase 6.53 + 7.00 x64. Funny thing is that they do produce sound when also a VST2.4 version is loaded in the same channel inserts rack. Especially MOscillator is a pity cause I use it to tune my analog gear.

I just checked both on mastertrack in the same setup as you have and everything seems working fine. Can you send me a testing project or something?

I uploaded a video on YouTube so you can see and hear what i mean. I think it's very self explanatory but just in case: i loaded the VST3 Osc in an audio channel (slot 1). Result: no sound. Then i loaded the VST2.4 Osc in slot 2. Result: sound. The link: or

Hmmm, interesting ! But you are using Cubase 7 not 6.53! I heard it is quite buggy so quite frankly I suppose this is some kind of problem in Cubase 7. I didn't manage to get C7 here yet, but I'll try to speed things up.

I use Cubase 6.53 as well (actually started with Cubase 4 and so on) but didn't make a video of that.

And it doesn't work there either? How about other plugins, do they work?

I own the Creative & Free Bundle and all the plugins (both 2.4 and 3 versions) are working good. For Cubase 6.53 I made a mistake I guess while switching between the two versions. There the Osc and Noise are working fine .

I noticed one more thing though. When loading any other VST3 plugin of whatever brand (Steinberg, Fabfilter, Melda) before or after the Osc-3 there is no sound. In case of any other 2.4 plugin before or after there is sound from the Osc-3.

As it happens in cubase 7 only I think it's a Steinberg issue.
Steinberg did release an update to 7.01 but that didn't change anything.

Interesting... Well, they have the new mixer, so I guess it didn't go that well. And guy on Steinberg support told me they are fixing fixing and fixing, so I guess this is one of the items on the list .
