Hello awrybody.

At first Merry Christmas and Happy New Year awrybody!!!

I own Dcam Synth Squad, i was able to get it with a very good Christmas discount (99$) and so far i am really blowed away by it and I realy like it and my question is: is the point in owning Diva too, because it is quite expansive .
What Diva can, that entire Synth Squad cannot? In Synth Squad i realy like semi modular approuch and also the sound quality is something very very good, which rarely u can hear from digital instruments, so what Diva can offer?

Thank u

Completely, DIVA is another league.

Both great, but they sound different. I give DIVA the edge in sound quality and flexibility, though...

The best way to decide is to download the demo and try Diva yourself. You may love it or you may not. It never times out, just makes crackles every once in a while so you can try it for as long as you like.

Yes... Diva is gorgeous!

Post

I have both and love them both ... they're pretty different in sound.
I like Dcam for the raw edgy sounds and Diva for the polished rich and beautiful sounds.

Perfect Combo !

Thank u very much people for the respons.

They compliment each other well... and they are quite different sonically

Er, did you try the demo... That should give you your answer. Or, are you the type of person that follows along with the crowd usually. In which case that will also give you the same answer. :)

No. It's just another VA. ;)
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

I own and use both very frequently.

One thing you can ask yourself is: are you really using a lot of "vintage analogue" sounds in your music? Synth Squad is far more versatile than Diva, whereas Diva is a more advanced dedicated emulation of a few special synths of note. Synth Squad needs some work (more in-depth programming) in order to get to that magic sound, Diva sounds great from the get-go.

If you find that you don't turn to those vintage sounds that often, then you might not want to shell out for Diva (she'll never go on sale, btw). Check out Electric Himalaya's fantastic expansion "Antiquity" for Synth Squad - maybe that'll be enough for your needs.

A word of warning, though: whatever you do, don't demo Diva. If you do, you'll be hooked instantly.

Like others, I have both.....they are very different sonically to me....
if I had to buy one it would definitely be Diva for the type of sounds I love....and quite frankly Diva has so many times better support than Dcam...... but I digress.

Depends on what type of sounds you like, but if you love the softer side of vintage analogue, Diva is the best there is imho.

Diva CAN go beyond mere emulation and produce modern sounds, but with the *quality* of the tried and loved analog workhorses of old. Diva is a very "brown" and earthy sound at heart, like impOSCar in a way. I'm currently using a single filtered sawtooth as a bassline in my latest track and the sound brings to mind a massive organ playing in a huge space. The bass is firm and even though filtered through the moog ladder, the high midrange is present and never harsh or unpleasant. It's asif it doesn't need volume to cut through the mix. Truely it lives up to the name "saw" :hihi:

Hello

Thank u for the respons.

Yes i really do like to tweak and edit the sounds and get my own sounds, and i rarely use presents not made by me, so that's why i bought Dcam Synth Squad in the first place. So it looks like Diva has less tweakable parameters, then Synth Squad but if they are "the right ones" i might consider Diva.

By the way which synths Diva is modelled after?

Thank ü
