Is Blok Modular dead?

I got a license for it about 2 years ago and the developer seemed very busy working on it.
And then no update (or news) for the past 1 and 1/2 year.
Has it been abandonned?

Besides that it's still an awesome plugin (and one of the few fully modular synths i got) but there is rarely any feedback about it at KVR.
At the Twitter page BLOK SVN-X2 is mentioned:
http://twitter.com/BlokModular
I just logged into my account and downloaded the Beta SVN X2 mentioned at Twitter. Will have a look at that soon. The lastest stable release is SVN 336 from 2011.

Aahh yes, thanks for reminding me of that hidden gem in my vst arsenal. I remember it was great fun to play with. Will install this and have a go at this again
Too bad that the development seems to be very slow though
Same with that other modular, Straight Arrow Quiver
And what about yet another modular, the Sonigen?

[Blok] is a modular synth, so I guess it would be best to post a thread about in the sub forum for modular synths.Ghostwave wrote:I got a license for it about 2 years ago and the developer seemed very busy working on it.

There is already a thread about [Blok] in that forum by the way.
You know how to use the search function in the forum right? No need to start a new thread when there is already a discussion about this subject.

In the modular forum most posts are about modular environments like SynthEdit or Synth Maker and also Reaktor. BLOK Modular is a synth so it fits to the instrument forum nicely.
Anyway i just looked there and found the thread already mentioned one post earlier.

The Modular sub-forum is about "Modular Synth design and releases (Reaktor, SynthEdit, Tassman, Synthmaker, VOID, etc.)"Ingonator wrote:In the modular forum most posts are about modular environments like SynthEdit or Synth Maker and also Reaktor. Ingo
[Blok] is a "Modular Synth Release". If Tassman is supposed to be in that forum, then so should [Blok]

This one seems to be the last thread directly related to BLOK (besides those just mentioned) and it was in the instruments forum:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... sc&start=0
Zephod (the dev) posted in that one too and those seemed to be his last posts at KVR.

Sonigen works great! I got struck by modular mania after watching a namm video *mouth waters* so i went to download nord modular g2 demo and then after some kvr'ing the database i found sonigen. Took just a little while to figure out how to create connections, but once i did everything was easy. Glad that you're not bogged down by a set amount of connections .. .and that you can reshape the cables so they don't get in the way!Nielzie wrote:Aahh yes, thanks for reminding me of that hidden gem in my vst arsenal. But as with anything with oscillators and filters... i've been fed with a certain high standard and i look with suspicion on stuff not having named their method with convincing lingo.. no mention of circuit modeling ...

Back from the dead!
I have been selling my soul to the corporate world for a few years... Saving up enough money to continue development on things actually worth building. (Sales from plugins are barely enough to pay for the powerbill to compile new versions during a year
)
I am glad to say I'm now "financially independent" for the next few years, which means playtime!
Meanwhile I have been getting the sourcecode up and running in all the latest versions of visual studio and experimenting with a 64 bit version.
My hosting company was taken over by new management and my sponsored account got lost in the transition - I will move the domain over to some other server and get it all back up again.
*glad to be back alive*
Also - I am quite active on Twitter (@blok2009 ) - if there are direct issues/requests, I'll be glad to answer them there. KVR forum is not really one of my regular hangouts.

But now the website seems to be gone?: http://www.zephod.nl/
Is Twitter the new homebase to check for news about [Blok] ?

Does not seem to work too. I get the message "Our website is temporarily closed for maintenance."
