zebra arpeggiator not working as expected

I've noticed that if I set up the arpeggiator as F>B (forward then backward) - it doesn't work as I would expect
eg: if I hold down 3 notes and set the octave to 1
(if 4 5 and 6 are 1 2 and 3 an octave up)
I would expect 1 - 2- 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2- 1
(Alchemy works this way)
but what you get with Zebra is 1- 2- 3 - 2 - 4- 5 -6 -5 - then back to 1
which to me is pretty horrible - is it just me??

Same here! Must be a bug, it works like your first example in both Podolski and FilterscapeVA.
Sorry I was Wrong! It works only with forward and backward not FB or BF...

1-2-3-2 is the F-B sequence without starting over...
so 1-2-3-2-4-5-6-5 is 'correct'
The thing is, you can define F-B in different ways. Same with octaves. So the way it is working, while not what you are expecting, is consistent with the logical pattern it follows. You want the octave to happen after the forward but before the backwards. Now this could be the intended behavior or not. Urs would have to say that.
If you want the pattern you are looking for, set octave to 0 and hold 1,2,3,4,5,6... or hold 1 note and program the arp to transpose notes in the order you want
Zebra could use with a couple more octave options. Sometimes people want alternating for example. Alternating would be 1-4-2-5-3-6.

I too would expect the octave to happen BEFORE backward. The current behavior is not logical to me.
I do agree with having more options for arp octaving, as pdxindy suggested.
