Just wanted to use EVE for the first time in a song and noticed that it receives only on midi channel 1 and does no program changes sent by CCs. That´s really true or am I doing something wrong?

EVE will respond to the midi-channel chosen on the mixer, a more detailed info is set on the manual. Rigth now all presets uses Ch1 only.

EVE should respond to program changes, when sent from Ch1, I will check my code again to be sure. And also, notice that some hosts filters program-changes by default, so you have to check if your host is not doing that and disable the filter.

So I can´t use the presets with another channel? That´s very limiting. :(

No, when I replace EVE by other synths they do respond to the program changes.

I might have misunderstood.. but you can use presets on any channel - just change the EVE mixer settings to all ch.2 or whatever. WK was just saying they default to channel 1.

Yes, but after every preset change I have to adjust the channels manually to the needed channel - very inconvenient

How about "all channels" by default in the EVE mixer, William? At the moment EVE is nearly unusable for my workflow.

What is the HOST you are using to run EVE?

EnergyXT standalone, driven by Jammer Pro 5 via MidiYoke driver. Now I have to go to bed - good night.

You're the only other person around here who uses Jammer Pro 5! :-)

I've started using it as a writing tool.

Send me a Private Message here at kvr if you'd be interested in talking Jammer.

Nothing for the moment, since we would need to add a new feature to EVE. Can't you select the midi-channel you send in your host? That's the most common case.

Yes, I can select sequencer´s channel 1 for EVE. Nevertheless the presets aren´t changed right by sending program change CCs, also not on ch 1. Instead, every time the songs starts, the previously manually chosen EVE preset is resetted to preset No. 1. :( :(

I just tested EVE in Orion, and it does respond to program-changes on midi-ch 1. I send pc codes from my external keyboard, and it worked. Looks like your host is doing some mess, like filtering pcs or something else. :(

As far as I know, this host is still in beta rigth?

Sorry, sorry, sorry, William  . It was really a problem with EnergyXT - now it works. In Chainer prog. changes are also working well. Sorry again - I only can speak to myself :x :-o
