Have you sometimes wanted to see what kind of midi data which is received by the Receptor?

The "midi monitor" works just fine. Just drop the two .dll files it into Receptor's

\program files\vst plugins\unsupportedplugins folder (and not the "drop installers here" folder)

Also: make sure the channel you assign it to is set to listen to MIDI channel "all" and play plugin MIDI channel "Thru"

AND in the SETUP - select "route MIDI CC to source plugin"


I tried a couple of others, like the
VSTi MIDI Data Monitor from Cescato Musiktechnologie, but they failed to install. Anyone who had other successful monitor tools installations out there?

I find it mind_blowing that the Receptor doesn't have this MIDI monitor facility build in, however, I'm sure this request has been risen many times.

My next post will reveal some mysteries in the Receptor Plugin & MIDI implementation I have wondered about for long.
