Hey I'm curious as to how to make that lead synth around 2.16 in the video. I know Deadmau5 is heavily copied artist but whenever I look around for tutorials etc I only find the plucky synth that his famous for. This seems like a very simple lead to be honest but I just can't seem to get it right and I got Sylenth and massive. Thanks for any help.

first of all, it's a nord lead 3.
2 square waves, Mod env modulating cutoff, LFO modulating shape of square wave(s), some unison.. only Nord Lead 3 can achieve this specific sound with the drama, I have the exact sound on my Nord right now.

You say nord lead, so I though synth1. Turns out the initial sound is already very close (just lower the attack). I think you can get far using that freebee.first of all, it's a nord lead 3.

It's the Poly Key preset from a Roland JV. You can find the Renoise instrument in my project file of "Ash": https://mega.nz/#!BuQSSKSQ!PXCxiYq6DIt0 ... Qu6liPCdWs - instrument number 03. Deadmau5 wrote the song The 16th Hour as a tribute to my original production EatMe - Pour La Mer.
