HI,
I do tech support for a number of composers in Los Angeles. One of them has Synthmaster and Digital Performer. What happens is this: when he first loads synthmaster, it works fine, he can hear the sounds, all is good. As soon as he hits play, the sound stops coming from Synthmaster. The only way we can restart the sound is to load a new patch.
Now, we just upgraded from Mac OS 10.5 to 10.6.8 thinking this might help. It did not.
Anyone heard of this before, and how we can get Synthmaster to work for us?
DP is V7, and run in 32 bit mode. I can get more info as required to get the resolution...

I've had a similar issue recently which I think may be what you're experiencing though not with the particular setup you mention.
After updating SM a couple weeks ago I noticed that sometimes SM would play and then suddenly stop all sound when playing clips (using a midi controller didn't seem to trigger this problem). It took me quite a while to figure out that the Master Volume in SM was being turned to 0 for some reason. I noticed that in these cases the Master Volume knob was linked/learned to MIDI CC 07 (which seems to depend on the patch used). Unlearning the MV knob fixed the problem. However, MIDI CC 07 is supposed to be "Volume" but it seems that it is being changed by something unseen since I observed this with no automation, etc.

Hey guys,
I will totally disable CC7 from all presets. That's causing the issue.
