Just wait for them to present things at messe, they as well as everyone else are going to have very busy schedules getting ready for the show coming up. hopefully a sneak peek of satin is planned.

Just a random thought, does anyone else find the name 'Satin' a bit ... head-onistic?

It's really close to be a final. Satin's tape part has been beta tested thoroughly, but the delay/flanger, grouping and gui haven't. We see a few possible areas of improvement, but for some stuff we simply need user feedback.
Soundwise it's fracking, literally. We tried it on some inhouse produces Blues, Rock and Metal with great results. It takes a mix to a different level.
But yeah, Messe has us all sweating blood and tears. My biggest concern is Bazille atm which we'll show with a preliminary user interface. Diva otoh is shaping up nicely - I just need to find that font for the panel again. It's lost on a crashed harddrive.

Is Satin and the Diva update still planned to be released after musikmesse, or is there a possibility we will get to use them before?

We'll release the maintenance update right after Musikmesse - that includes Diva of course, without the new features.djanthonyw wrote:Is Satin and the Diva update still planned to be released after musikmesse, or is there a possibility we will get to use them before?
Diva's new filter currently only works in 44.1kHz and I feel tempted to offer a low-aliasing mode for the digital oscillator. We'll have at least another month of work until it's ready for public appearance, maybe two. Similarly with Bazille.
I'm still in the middle of moving the graphics framework to the next level. I can't possibly release the new Diva stuff without key control and the new resize mode. It takes time

If the problem is about to remember the font name, well i use this tool, very useful when clients ask me for logo redesign from business cards without any information:Urs wrote: Diva otoh is shaping up nicely - I just need to find that font for the panel again. It's lost on a crashed harddrive.

Take a Diva screenshot with bigger size UI where there's a text, change it to B/W and apply contrast. Then upload the image to the online tool. If you're lucky you'll find the font!
If the problem is another one, well, can't say more, only one thing: good luck Urs and no hurry with updates!
(Hurry only with Bazille!!!)

Oh, that sounds like you still need a beta tester to try Satin with at least some Acid and Dub, then. I'll be happy to volunteer!Urs wrote:It's really close to be a final. Btw, if raikard233's suggestion doesn't work, and you don't use any letters that you haven't used before, I might be able to help you with a provisional versin using a collage of the letters that are used in the text on the other panels - iirc, for making custom panels for Diva, I somehow isolated all the foreground text and markings from the background, and that worked pretty well.

Nah, not the Diva logo itself, I mean the labels in white text that are everywhere else. It's an almost square font (grotesque, capitals, reduced contrast/even width, based on round rectangles, characteristic E with short middle bar), I think I got it from one of those 1000 free fonts online sites.taoyoyo wrote:Pretty sure it's SnellRoundhand.Urs wrote:Diva otoh is shaping up nicely - I just need to find that font for the panel again. @Raikard, I'll try this...

Found it! - I also had some layers in Photoshop... it's Bank Gothic. Hmmm... why is that on my laptop but not on my dev machine?!?

What's the CPU use of Satin like?
I'm hoping it's more Zebra than DIVA in this regard

Sascha says it's less than the similar offering of the market leader for native plugins.audiosabre wrote:What's the CPU use of Satin like?
I think on his machine it's just below 3% per instance whereas theirs is between 3% and 4%.
