Hi,
I was wondering, when i select Mid or Side mode in the MEqualizer (or any other plug of yours), does the plugin encode AND decode back the audio after processing?
I mean i want to process only the side, so the plugin converts the signal to Mid or Side, do it's thing, and then in the output it converts it back to a standard stereo signal?
And, what is the "Mid+Side" mode for? as i remember you said your plugins can't process Mid and Side simulteneouslly.
Thanks,
Erez.
Probably a stupid question about Mid\Side

Hi,
yes, the host always assumes L+R, just the conversion would only create nonsense. So the plugin must decode it back afterwards. But don't worry, it's quick and artifacts free
. To process M and S separately, just use 2 instances of the plugin. More about it here:
M+S mode can be interesting for some special effects. With eq the results are equal to L+R processing (unless soft saturation is used), but for reverbs or delays for example the results are very different
