Source plugin not responding until after preset change or bypass/unbypass

Hey folks,

I tried to make sure this hasn't been covered yet before posting and I didn't see anything in a handful of searches so here goes. I've got a Receptor 1 Rev C and I'm setting things up for live use but I'm having an odd problem (same problem, same vendor, 2 different vstis) with 2 plugins.

Upon loading one of the two source vsts into a channel in the mixer I am confronted with no sound. In fact it would appear that the plugin is not receiving anything from my midi controller; however, after either switching to another preset or bypassing and unbypassing the source it begins working properly. The only other real detail is that regardless of what preset I save in a single or a multi the Builtin>Default bank and preset comes up.

So the only message in the System Log during all of this is dll version 2400 reported, using version 2300.

Now these did take a little work to get to install as they failed to do so using the unsupported plugins method. However with root access, ssh, and a little moving Receptor picked them up just fine and even generated all the nice xml files it would for any other plugin. By the way the VSTis I'm referring to are Martininc's ComboF and ComboV. Both are very, very nice and I am trying as hard as I can to play them live this Friday night.

Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated. I've dug around quite a bit and the ONLY differences I've seen regarding these two plugins are in the files Patch and Bank Assignments.xml and Patch and Bank Assignments.txt in the folder /c/Reports/ - the difference is that the txt file makes no mention of the plugins at all while the xml file has all of the banks and presets for them listed.

It appears the problem of the singles and multis only loading the Default>Builtin patch instead of whatever preset I saved to the patch is solved by creating a new bank and new preset for the sound I want and saving it into the single and multi instead of using the factory bank.

So now all that's left is the no sound or control before bypass/unbypass or source patch change problem.
