After being exposed to the haphazard, snotty and downright shifty behavior of other makers of musical goods... U-he truly is a beacon of decency in a sea of crap.

My experience with Quneo alone has been hugely disappointing ... so much hype, such bad software... so few fixes... and such LAME EXCUSES! (a user recommended I buy $80 3rd software to fix what should have been obvious... KeithMcMillen.com read my post and just DELETED IT).

Even huge corporations fail at this kind of responsive behavior. Big companies can be good... if they notice the issue, see people are have issues and get people on it within the fiscal year.

I'm not saying U-he doesn't screw up occasionally, I had one minor problem with ACE having mixed up MIDI CC modulation for a few versions, I had written a tune with said version, and when I upgraded, the CC's were off. Eh... only one tune out of five was affected.

But I was aware of the issue because Urs himself had been honest with another user about the same issue... I knew exactly how to remedy he issue because Urs doesn't hide his products flaws... HE DEALS WITH THEM. That shouldn't be amazing... yet by comparison, such integrity shines all the more brightly.

On the whole ... Urs and company have been REMARKABLE in performance and attentive service.

Just wanted to offer my hollow astonishment at some manufacturers as a testament... U-he is truly on point with customer service.

Thank you U-he Team (and Urs) !

(Oh yeah, the products kick ass too  )

I've wanted to write very similar posts when I get so frustrated with products by other devs.

I totally agree the Urs and company have hit the nail on the head when it comes to product and customer service.

They die in a matter of relative time (we as individuals cannot observe long-term rules of the market, and take lessons from it, because we don't live that long - some people think that Microsoft reign is everlasting - but they will fall as well and be replaced by smaller dynamic companies.

The reason is simple - there's a time when big company leader and creator dies or don't make company future anymore, by actual decisions.

So.. in small business we have a owner, who still cares about his company and have a fresh ambitions.

And that's natural order of life and should not be disturbed by goverment - just like in USA (General Motors tax bailout for Example)

Yea honestly, I've never seen any company making high-end software just flat out interact with it's users like it's nothing. It's really refreshing.

Yep,

Camel Audio, Loomer, Madrona Labs, and Cable Guys come to mind.

Linplug and Ohmforce are also pretty good with customer communication.

Image Line is great, too, at least in points of customer service.

They even have a live support chat - I tried it and they helped me immediately! And they have a own forum where I got help, too. Even if I'm still fighting with some serious bugs of their software, their customer service is great!

So while I don't want to hinder the U-He hype, there are much more companies with remarkable customer support that should be mentioned...

Yeah, I forgot about Image Line. I've never had a problem with them at all.

Sean Costello (Valhalla DSP) and Andy "ZenPunkHippie" (Camel Audio) are extremely interactive. I see them on other forums not just as representatives of their products but as total gear geeks too.

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Did I just break the internet? :-o I was talking more about how the devs just kinda hang out and chat about their products publicly rather than customer support. But yea, I guess other companies do that too. U-he is the first I've experienced where that has really happened.
