This has only happened for me in the newest version, too. The soft sound even happens after I mixdown the audio. Could it be because I imported a drum beat from LMMS? Still, I used to always do that and have never had any problems until now. There are three tracks - An imported sound, an instrument, and vocals. I am at my wit's end, honestly.

EDIT: I tried deleting the imported audio and it still does it. I am going to see if restarting the PC does anything.

The demo noise is explained on http://www.mutools.com/info/docs/mulab/ ... sions.html

Could it be that you have been mixing down in 32 bit?

I restarted the PC. It did not work. That link says that I am able to use 4 tracks. I am using 3 and the soft noise plays even when I press the play button to listen to it in MuLab, so it's not a problem with the mixdown which I used 16-bit for anyway (it won't even let you mixdown on 32, you get a message). This seems like it's a bug.

If this is indeed a bug with the new version, A) is there any place to download an older version, and B) is there any way to transfer what I have in this project over to a new project in the older version?

EDIT: Also, in older versions, I have never heard the soft sound play when I mixed it down even with 5+ tracks.

That doc page lists more cases where the demo noise is activated. I suggested checking the mixdown cause that's often overlooked. But ok if it's set at 16 bit it will be another thing that triggers the demo noise. Chance is low it's a bug as this MuLab version is running stable for many months on many computers. Please check carefully for the demo noise conditions listed on that doc page.

This is what that document says.

Num Audio Inputs/Outputs: 2/2

I'm not even sure what that means but all I have for audio inputs/outputs are the speakers and microphone.

Num MIDI Inputs/Outputs: 1/1

I have done nothing with MIDI. So that's out.

Num Tracks Per Composition: 4

I have 3.

Can Use Multi MIDI Channels Per Track: No.

Again, I have done nothing with MIDI.

Num VST Plug-Ins Per Session: 8

I have 0.

Can Use ReWire Devices: No.

I have not used any ReWire devices nor do I know what they are.

Can Mixdown In 32 bit

The problem occurs before the mixdown and I used 16-bit regardless.

Am I missing something? This problem is occurring even when I delete all but the instrument track making for just one track.

It's not because you don't use it, it's not enabled.
Check the main MuLab menu -> MIDI Setup. Same for audio.

No subtracks?
Can Use Multi MIDI Channels Per Track: No.

Check each track's MIDI channel -> right-click -> Choose MIDI Channel. They should all be on 1-16, and never be set to "Per Part".

Then i assume it's something in your audio and/or MIDI setup.
In MIDI setup set all MIDI ports to none (ar max 1 in and 1 out, but as you don't use it, you can set all to none). In audio setup make sure you only have enabled a single stereo input and output.
