Hi,
So I don't know if Mulab can do this, but it seems like something it should be able to do but I just can't figure out. I've been trying to connect my Yamaha PSR-280 keyboard to Mulab to play it through my computer (basically make sequences that have sounds from my keyboard instead of the preset mulab instruments). In "MIDI Setup" I am able to set it as an input and output, so Mulab recognizes it (I was worried the keyboard would be too old, but that's not it). I just can't figure out what to do from there. Nothing I've tried lets me use the keyboard in anyway; be it for recording or even just as a pads to play the internal synths.
Basically: My keyboard connects, but I can't find out how to do anything with it.
All the tutorials seem to gloss over this or explain it in a very confusing manner so if anyone knows how to do this, I'd appreciate any help!
Thanks,
Youdafoo

What audio/MIDI interface do you have, and how is it physically hooked up?
EDIT: I don't have the PSR-280 owners manual, but it looks like it has USB MIDI capability... This will allow you to record/playback MIDI sequences, but if you want to actually record the audio of your keyboard, you'll need an audio interface also.
For just MIDI sequences:
http://www.mutools.com/info/docs/mulab/recording.html (MIDI input)
"To send MIDI output from MuLab to your external gear, first make sure you've enabled the relevant MIDI ports via the main MuLab menu -> MIDI Setup. Then in the Session MUX, each event output is mapped to the respective MIDI output port. These event outputs can be used as a direct target for tracks (drop it on a track), or it can be used as an output for racks. So sending events to a Session MUX event output will send the events to the respective MIDI output." (MIDI output)

Thank you so much for your time and help; upon trying it on another computer, it worked instantly so I realized that it is a problem with the computer I was using.
Thanks,
