MUX on Mac - any chance to see that?

Just three questions, since I can't decide which Modular Environment I'd like to get for my studio:
1) Is there any chance to see MUX on Mac some day?
The focus seems to be on MuLab, while MUX remains fairly untouched on Windows
2) are feedback loops possible (like: connecting output to input)
3) will MUX/MuLab ever see a drop of the (multi) Stereo Outs, so that there is no stereo split tool needed anymore?
Thanks for answering. Especially if these answeres were already in the backlogs (couldn't find them on quick-search).

I'm so glad that you didn't use any of these TeamFortress 2 "long neck / nope" pictures for that.

1) AFAIR MuX for Mac will come. I would guess it'll be once MuLab 5.2.x is stable but I don't remember what the issues with MuX on MacOS were - i.e. whether the plan was earlier or later...
2) Per ED. (But I think Jo is starting to think about it...)
3) I have to say I hope it sticks to stereo pairs, myself. Nearly everything I work with is in stereo and having to wire up in mono would be a real pain.
In case you missed it, Jo's away till 20 Aug, so this could sink and not get an official answer for a while unless you bump it after that

Nya~, I've waited longer for answers. So 20th August is fine with me.
I only wish there'd be a plain "FX only" version. I really don't need the synths. But MUX is excellent for designing own stuff and having containers.

You're not getting anything "extra" with the VSTi "version" that's not in the VST "version" -- it's just about how it declares itself to the host application.

Yes that's the plan. Can't give a time estimation yet though.Compyfox wrote:Just three questions, since I can't decide which Modular Environment I'd like to get for my studio:

No.2) are feedback loops possible (like: connecting output to input)
No. I think the current system works very well: Automatic by default, but if you want you can handle audio channels explicitly separately.3) will MUX/MuLab ever see a drop of the (multi) Stereo Outs, so that there is no stereo split tool needed anymore?

Sorry, I just totally forgot this.
Thanks for answering. Though...
Is there at least a rough ETA for the Mac version? Because this might influence a sale pitch or not (if I can convince one of my best clients to go for a modular environment as well, patch trading would be the case).
And... since the Stereo system remains the same, and I didn't heck out individual channel handling... what about the Feedback Loop thing? Might that be possible in a future update?

Not yet. The only thing i can say is that i've been thinking about things during my holidays and MUX for OSX is one of the things i want to do on relative short term. (rough said: this new working year 2013-2014)Compyfox wrote:Is there at least a rough ETA for the Mac version?
Euh, not sure if i understand you here.And... since the Stereo system remains the same, and I didn't heck out individual channel handling...
Did you manage to do what you wanted to do? (using Stereo Splitter + Stereo Combinor modules)
Not yet planned on short term for i have other MU plans.what about the Feedback Loop thing? Might that be possible in a future update?
But feel free to tell me what kind of feedback loops you would like to make, i'm interested.

Fair enough.mutools wrote:Not yet. The only thing i can say is that i've been thinking about things during my holidays and MUX for OSX is one of the things i want to do on relative short term. (rough said: this new working year 2013-2014)
I think I understood something wrong. I thought that you can now right click on a module and then split cables.mutools wrote:Euh, not sure if i understand you here.

I did try the stereo split cables back in the day (old demo), but I found them highly unintuitive.
I think the most traditional (and wanted) feature might be feeding back the ouput of a module into the input of another module, or even the very same module. but with a volume poti in between to change the ammount.mutools wrote:Not yet planned on short term for i have other MU plans.

A good example is a delay without a feedback loop built into the delay. With this you could create ever-ongoing dub type delays.
Apparently, only Bidule from all the modular hosts can do that.
