Simple PC VST Host

I might be going back to PC for music, so I'll be saying goodbye to Logic, & hello to Live! I prefer Windows over OS X for the speech to text (I don't need a keyboard/mouse), so that's my basis for changing (before all you Mac devotees give me crap!). Anyway, Logic possesses a few things that Live lacks, namely the event window & control view for plug-ins, allowing one to type in parameters. Thankfully, Live's piano roll is elegant, so the lack of an event window isn't too much of an impediment on my approach to sequencing. However, the lack of a control view for plug-ins is detrimental to my approach. I know Cubase has simple view, but I really seek a simple VST host that allows one to type in parameters for plug-ins, I've come across a few free stand-alone VST hosts, but none of them have this. So, if someone on here could go ahead & recommend a VST host, stand-alone or else, that has this...that'd be great... Thanks a bunch!

VSTHost and Reaper, but don't expect Apple qualities.

Thank you, George! I have Reaper installed on my laptop, but I can't type in parameters in the parameter view. VSTHost works, but I can't tab through the parameters as in Logic's control view; I have to move the cursor to the next text box. I know Cubase has simple view, so can someone here tell me if it works in the same way as Logic's control view. Can Sound Forge host VSTi?
