Thought I'd share this since it's pretty cool.

Digital Oscillator:

Osc 1: Pulse
Pitch: 0
Ctrl1: 100
Ctrl2: 3

This produces a triangle wave which crosses zero at just the right point to shave off the discontinuities which appear and disappear abuptly during sync

Osc 2: Pulse
Pitch: Higher than Osc 1, modulated by an envelope or LFO
Ctrl1: 50
Ctrl2: 0

This produces a square wave, though you can change it to a pulse or any other waveform.

Now set mix to 100% osc 2, sync and ring modulation on.

Now play :) To compare and contrast with normal sync, switch 'ring' on and off.

Here's a different setting for Osc1 that works and gives a different sound:

Osc 1: Sawtooth
Pitch: 0
Ctrl1: 75
Ctrl2: 85

Hey Sendy, thanks for the tips! :)

If the sound turns a bit too soft we can always blend a quarter or so of cross mod to get some "clean" aggression back. This works only with the 1st example as I found out so far.

That's really interesting thanks for sharing. Tweaking Ctrl 2 very slightly adds some interesting harmonics as well.

The shape or harmonic content of the master oscillator usually has no effect upon the 'synched' oscillator, so what's going on here? :?:

Ring modulation is also engaged - when Osc 1 crosses zero, points on Osc 2 will be silent.
