Apologies if I've missed a discussion on this topic.
I'm running a Mac 12 core w/HDX-1 and a UAD Octo. My session have been on the edge for the past 6 months (in terms of hitting PT10s memory constraints) and I've been dipping my toe farther and farther into PT11. At this point, I'm just awaiting plugs from UAD, Kush (UBK-1/Clariphonic) Slate (VCC/VTM) and Sonnox SuprEssr to do the majority of work in PT 11.
I was a late comer to the BlueCat MB-7 mixer, but I now see the value it will provide for certain difficult audio situations in it's intended native use. It has been an amazing preview into how PT11HDX can work. So much so, as I find myself so frustrated with PT10 blowouts and memory issues, that I am using MB-7 to load up UAD and Kush plugs quite nicely.
I also use Slate's VCC on drum kits and electric guitars - typically spanning about 40 channels. I have been attempting to use MB-7 to setup the 8 groups I typically use with VCC. Success came to me with the drums (on a single group) - using both the VCC Channel as well as the VCC MixBuss.
However - as I attempt to bring more VCC groups online - I begin to get non responsive UX issues (when I tweak with the MixBus of a newly instantiated group). Pro Tools still runs (I know this as autosave still works), however I cannot do anything with it and eventually (after I get my latest autosave) FORCE QUIT.
I have also been getting maxed out and muted VCC groups - maxed out meaning a loud signal on a PT Channel. Even after I remove the MB-7 plug, I will still see a loud signal on one of the channels which MB-7 was removed from. Restarting PT11 takes care of this - however, I've lost work and the restored autosaved session may or may not be stable.
Currently, I do not seem to be able to reliably instantiate more than a single VCC group within a session.
BlueCat - Are you aware of issues with VCC which make my quest foolhardy?
Slate - Are you aware issues with VCC/VST which would prevent this from working within MB-7?
Any help or guidance would be appreciated. I know that many of us are dependent on VCC and impatient with Slate's VCC release schedule (currently unknown and I'd hazard a guess sometime of around NAMM). I've seen others consider abandoning VCC - but like them, I love VCC and leaving it doesn't impart a positive feeling - or sound.
Anyone?

Hi,
As was posted on the DUC, there are indeed known issues with the Slate plug-ins. We have been in touch with them about this, and it seems that they have fix the problems with the latest releases. VCC has not been updated yet I think. It will hopefully be fixed when updated (you may want to touch base with Slate to make sure it is in the plans).
