Hi there,

What are the differences between the above?
They look similar in my pea brain

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in our plug-ins. Both plug-ins are actually pretty different: the MB-7 Mixer plug-in splits the spectrum before processing each frequency band separately (to apply different effects to different parts of the spectrum), whereas Blue Cat's PatchWork does not do any spectral processing. It "just" lest you create effects chains (in series or parallel).

I hope this clarifies!

We have actually posted on our blog about the differences, if you want more details!

Hi there,

Many thanks for your reply and apologies for my lack of acknowledgement.
I haven't had the money to purchase so I've intentionally stayed away from this.

Your reply and blog answer my questions perfectly.
The only problem I have now is I want both. Grrrr!

Instrument/effect racks are one of my favourite features in Live and PatchWork will allow this functionality in Cubase now as well.

And here are some more reasons to get both, in case you did not already know: Blue Cat's PatchWork vs MB-7 Mixer Part 2: Why you want BOTH!
