Problem with controlling Receptor 2 plug-in parameter with data entry slider

Can anyone out there offer some advice on how to control the stereo tremolo speed of my Scarbee Rhodes via data entry slider? I swear I've followed the instructions from the Receptor manual but I can't get it to work. I've assigned this tremolo parameter as the first parameter on the front LCD screen of my Receptor 2 for easy access with the knobs but I wanna use my Data Entry Slider. I've tried assigning the slider to CC# 16 like it says but to no avail. I'm probably missing something. I've even messed with midi channels. Any thoughts out there? Thanks....
